Today we competed at the American Debate League Tri-State Championships. This tournament required teams to qualify therefore leaving us with some fierce competition!!
In the Elementary School Novice Division:
The team of Jason Wang, Raveen Medage, and Kevin Zhao came in 10th place with winning record of 2-1. Kevin also placed 13th place speaker overall in his division.
Shoutout to the team of Riana Lam, Katherine Wan and Ruby Lu for showing up to their first competitive tournament and keeping a good attitude overall!
In the Middle Schoool Novice Division:
The team of Karen Wang and Isabella Lu had a winning record and went 2-1.
The team of Austin Guo and Luiz Takata went undefeated and were our Middle School Novice Champions for the 2023 season! Luiz got 2nd place speaker and Austin got 8th place!
In the Middle School Open Division:
The team of Archana Ovitigala, Jeanfelipe Jacques, and Methulia Medage had a winning record and went 2-1. Methulia was the 1st place speaker in her division!
The team of Natasha Chiu, Leanna Caí and Hillary Jacques had a winning record of 2-1. Hillary also received 11th place speaker!
